Evolution of CeX3D Inverse on the Image Set: Hollywood Boulevard Mall, Los Angeles, California
The three input images, used for all reconstructions on this page:
Reconstruction from 2014-03-10 with CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha, Rendered Using (UV-mapped) Texture:
- Download model (OBJ and RIB formats; 189MB zipped): Reconstruction of Hollywood Boulevard Mall 2014-03-10
- There is both a simple model constructed from only the second view (1,867 trigons) as well as a full high-resolution model (3,106,992 trigons)
- Reconstruction times on a 64-bit 2Ghz Intel Core i7 computer running Linux:
- CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha: 57 minutes and 33.2 seconds
- CeX3D Inverse NCU 0.7.2.0 alpha: 1 hour 4 minutes and 49.0 seconds
- The model contains small cracks (needs more testing). Reconstruction from these particular images is very hard and earlier versions of CeX3D Inverse has not been able to do this very well
- Texture is projected all the way through the model, so be sure to look at it from the front side
