GALLERY OF THE EVOLUTION OF CEX3D INVERSE
Evolution of CeX3D Inverse on the Image Set: Tea and Reading Material for Two
The three input images, used for all reconstructions on this page:
Reconstruction from 2014-03-10 with CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha, Rendered Using (UV-mapped) Texture:
- Download model (OBJ and RIB formats; 93MB zipped): Reconstruction of Tea and Reading Material for Two 2014-03-10
- There is both a simple model constructed from only the second view (1,960 trigons) as well as a full high-resolution model (1,521,626 trigons)
- Reconstruction times on a 64-bit 2Ghz Intel Core i7 computer running Linux:
- CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.2.0 alpha: 53 minutes and 36.6 seconds
- CeX3D Inverse NCU 0.7.2.0 alpha: 1 hour 5 minutes and 33.7 seconds
- The model is much less noisy than in the earlier versions,
though the model is somewhat distorted (mostly due to a wrong radial distortion estimate),
and still contains small cracks (needs more testing).
A part of the table is missing on the high-resolution model
due to highlight shift on the partly shiny table cloth
- Texture is projected all the way through the model, so be sure to look at it from the front side
-
Reconstruction from 2013-01-30 with CeX3D Inverse Pro 0.7.0.0 alpha, Rendered Using (UV-mapped) Texture:
- Download model (OBJ and RIB formats; 37MB zipped): Reconstruction of Tea and Reading Material for Two 2013-01-30
- There is both a simple model constructed from only the second view as well as a full high-resolution model
- The model is noisy (this will be improved),
contains small cracks (needs more testing)
and a part of the table is missing on the high-resolution model
due to highlight shift on the partly shiny table cloth
- Texture is projected all the way through the model, so be sure to look at it from the front side
